Workshop Description:
Using a torch (or a kiln, if you prefer), explore the exciting possibilities of line creation and imagery with liquid enamel, mason stains, and acrylic enamels on steel (and graphite, time allowing)! Starting from ground-coated steel, liquid enamel will be the base for sgraffito and painting techniques (Limoges). Overglazes (painting enamels) will be discussed, and how mason stains can be converted to overglazes. Firing options, building layers, and surfaces are a core part of the workshop.
