A bolo is really a small canvas with a stone in the middle, which makes it a great excuse to try every decorative technique at once. Trim, silver balls, stamping, rolling mill texture, all on one piece.

• Bezel setting a stone so it holds up to being worn
• Adding trim, silver balls, texture, and stamped detail
• Using the rolling mill to texture your backplate
• Polishing and finishing to a clean result

Do I need experience? Yes. This one assumes you've taken a class or two and know your way around basic metalsmithing.
