Our main focus is adding to your lapidary skills including using a dopping stick for your smaller stones and opals. By the end of the class, you will have the skills to create your own unique and beautiful cabochons.

What you will learn:

• How to refine and improve your lapidary skills
• How to use a dopping stick for smaller stones and opals
• How to choose the right rocks for cabochon making
• How to cut and shape your rocks How to polish your rocks

What you will need:

• Rocks (grapefruit-sized or smaller)
• Or Slabs of rock (available for purchase)
• Safety glasses (supplied by the school or bring your own)
• No big sleeves (Spinning wheel hazard)

If needed:

• Tie hair back
• Glasses
• Hearing protection is optional and can be provided by the school
