Stone Inlay Ring

Inlay, without a room full of lapidary equipment.

Crushed stone set into a channel in a silver band. It looks like it took specialist gear, and it didn't. You'll do the whole thing with tools that fit on a normal bench, which means you can keep doing it at home.

What you'll learn

  • Cutting and soldering a clean silver band
  • Handling a flex shaft well enough to cut a channel
  • Crushing and packing stone for a tight, even inlay
  • Design choices that make the color read from across a room

Do I need experience? Helpful but not required. If you've used a rotary handpiece before you'll move faster.

What it costs All tools and materials are included. Bring a stone you love to crush, or pick from ours.

What you take home A ring in a color you chose, which is more satisfying than it sounds.
