The X-Link Mandrel is a tool based on construction of classical loop in loop chain designs.

The authors explore many of the ancient and modern variations of this chain link. One version called Multidirectional loop in loop chains uses several oval links to create a complex multi link woven chain.

The X-link mandrel simplified this multi link process by allowing the maker to make one X shaped link for weaving vs having to make two oval links and crossing them before weaving. once cut off the mandrel the links are soldered or fused

We highly recommend using 20ga Fine silver (FS) 18ga FS can be used but it is more difficult to weave and can cause some frustrations.
